As you may have seen, Teahupoo just announced the changing of seasons in no uncertain terms. Very solid, back-to-back swells marched up the South Pacific and detonated on the reef pass over four days with mostly clean conditions. The entire run of surf — which peaked on Sunday, May 1st with a handful of tow-in-sized waves — was a mostly local’s only affair, and rightly so: they know this crazy hunk of water better than anyone.
