Dunstan baby language was created by Priscilla Dunstan, an Australian opera singer. She researched the cries babies make for 8 years while researching around the world and created the following list of universal cries. There are 5 sounds a baby makes usually BEFORE or at the beginning of their cry. Here are the sounds: 1. "Neh"-hunger 2. "Eh"- burp 3. "Eairh" or "Earggghh" - gassy or 89 4. "Heh" - physically uncomfortable (temperature, diaper) 5. "Owh" or "Oah" - tired There is body language tha

Soooo, according to the ‘Dunstan babylanguage’ there are 5 different babycries... I decided to go along with my daughter and figure out what this ‘secret’language means by copying her and see what it says. Or better, what SHE says! We’re quite in sync, right!?? 🤪🥰 besides that, I just wanted to play 🤷🏽♀️ #5huiltjes #babylanguage #fun #plagerij #babylove @postbabybelly @pregnantlifestyle_ | Natalia

When do babies begin communicating? We’re glad you asked because it may be sooner than you think! Although sharp ears may identify “mama” or “dada” around the six-month mark, it will likely be another year or more before words stream together for (short) sentences. The catch? Those little hands are capable of talking, too—and often at a much younger age! Yes, baby sign language can be a real language in and of itself. All you have to do is start and then repeat, repeat, repeat a few helpful sign

Ever wish your baby came with a translator? 🙋♀️ As a pediatrician, one of the biggest sources of stress I see in new parents is the “crying guessing game.” But what if I told you your baby is already communicating their needs with specific sounds, even before a full-blown cry? This is often called Dunstan Baby Language, and it’s based on the idea that babies have specific sound reflexes for their needs. Listening closely can be a total game-changer. Here’s your quick guide (as shown in the vid

The Secret Language of Babies In 2006, Oprah met Priscilla Dunstan, a woman who said she had unlocked what she called the secret language of babies. Here, Priscilla explains her theory that all newborns communicate by using five universal sounds, and that after listening to them a few times, mothers can learn to quickly identify each one and understand what their babies are saying.
