In exocad’s Freeforming step, clicking Approximal gives you control over how your restoration fits next to adjacent teeth — and it offers three modes: 🔹 Blocked-Out Adjacent – Temporarily blocks scanned neighbors based on the tooth’s insertion path. Use this when you want a collision-free fitting, especially for tight spaces and tall restorations. 🔹 Adjacent Only – Focuses the adaptation only to the adjacent teeth, letting the software build proper contact without messing with occlusion.
