Salute! Good Night Dixie! The beautiful Culpeper Confederate Memorial was dedicated on May 31, 1911, by the A.P. Hill Camp No. 2 of the United Confederate Veterans and local Culpeper citizens. It honors the county's local citizen soldiers who did their duty and answered the call to defend their homes, family, and homeland against a deadly invasion, served, and died during the “Civil” War. Culpeper County was a hotspot for conflict, hosting at least 160 battles and skirmishes, including the Battl
