The New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles could come together on a trade that would give the Yankees the starting pitching help they need.
NEW YORK — The Yankees traded away one of their Triple-A starters on Monday afternoon, shipping veteran Carlos Carrasco to the Braves for a player to be named later. Carrasco had been in Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre for much of this summer, sticking around multiple times after being designated for assignment.
Atlanta acquired the veteran right-hander for cash considerations. Carrasco, a 16-year veteran, had been at Triple-A with the Yankees.
