Dutch rider Thymen Arensman has launched a daring solo attack on a long final climb before holding on grimly to win the 19th stage of the Tour de France.

Thymen Arensman clinched his second mountaintop win of Tour de France 2024 by narrowly beating Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard on Stage 19 at La Plagne. The shortened Alpine stage saw dramatic attacks and major GC shake-ups ahead of the penultimate stage.

Just six days after his first, Thymen Arensman scored a second stage win at the Tour de France on stage 19, securing a huge boost to his confidence and to Ineos Grenadiers ' Tour campaign as the race nears completion.
