Two oil tankers collided and caught fire near the Strait of Hormuz Wednesday night. The tankers, located off the coast of Iran, were reportedly experiencing navigational problems. The ships involved were the Adalynn and Front Eagle.

Shipowner Frontline said the incident near the Strait of Hormuz was due to navigational issues and not related to the current Israel-Iran conflict.

Israel launched strikes against Iran on June 13, saying it targeted nuclear facilities, ballistic missile factories and military commanders during the start of a prolonged operation to prevent Tehran from building an atomic weapon.
