The tournament takes place in the early weeks of the new World Snooker Tour season and offers the sport's second-largest prize fund. 28th seed Elliot Slessor claimed another scalp yesterday, edging out world No. 4 Mark Williams, to line up a semi-final against Neil Robertson.
