MP Materials, the operator of the only rare earths mine in the United States, has signed a $500 million deal with Apple.

Apple says it will invest $500 million in a magnet plant in Texas and an MP Materials recycling facility in California that will focus on rare earth elements recovery.

Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Stillwater, Oklahoma, USARE is working to develop a vertically integrated domestic supply chain for rare earth element magnet production.
