Shubham Dwivedi, a 31-year-old businessman from Kanpur, was killed in the Pahalgam terror attack. He was cremated at his native village with full state honours on Thursday morning, officials said.

At least 26 persons died in Pahalgam of J&K after terrorists shot at a group of tourists. In response to the terror attack, India now has suspended Indus Water Treaty and closed Attari border with Pakistan.

Under the terms of the agreement, Pakistan was granted unrestricted access to the waters of the three western rivers—Indus, Jhelum, and Chenab—which account for nearly 70 per cent of the total water flow in the Indus river system.
