The Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres flashed playoff intensity in their long-awaited first two series of the season and went face-to-face, quite literally, after 10 batters were hit during a stretch the Dodgers owned on the scoreboard.

Benches cleared, Shohei Ohtani and Fernando Tatis Jr. were both hit by pitches and even the two managers got into it during another contentious affair between the Dodgers and Padres on Thursday night.

An eventful ninth inning in the San Diego Padres' 5-3 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers saw both benches empty and both managers ejected in the ensuing fracas.
