Tropical Storm Dexter has formed over the Western Atlantic as of 11 p.m. Dexter has maximum sustained winds of 45 mph with a minimum central pressure of 1002. The NHC said Dexter is forecast to weaken and become post-tropical on Wednesday as it remains over the open ocean. The system poses no threat to Florida.

There’s an increased chance of formation with one of the systems since Saturday, the National Hurricane Center said.

Dexter was a tropical storm in the North Atlantic Ocean late Sunday Eastern time, the National Hurricane Center said in its latest advisory. Dexter is the fourth named storm to form in the Atlantic in 2025.
