State-appointed auditors will go inside St. Petersburg City Hall on Wednesday for the first of a two-day review of city spending, part of the Florida Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) ongoing audits of local governments.

A team of auditors with the Florida DOGE arrived Wednesday morning at the St. Petersburg City Hall. This is a two-day effort to comb through the city’s finances in person and ask city staff follow-up questions.

While in Tampa Monday morning, Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia said his office is going around the state trying to eliminate wasteful spending on a local level. A doge audit on Hillsborough County began.
