The New York Mets will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Beatles ‘ landmark performance at Shea Stadium on Beatles Night at Citi Field on Aug. 15. During the game against the Seattle Mariners, the team will honor the 1965 performance, which at the time was the first rock show at a major U.S. stadium, according to the Associated Press.

The New York Mets will honor the 60th anniversary of the Fab Four's performance at Shea Stadium when they host the Seattle Mariners on Aug. 15 for The Beatles Night at Citi Field. The 1965 performance was a milestone because The Beatles became the first rock band to perform a major stadium concert.

The Mets will host "The Beatles Night" at Citi Field, just a few hundred feet away from where John, Paul, George and Ringo performed.
