Photos and video show the brutal aftermath of a major crash on I-35 in North Austin, which killed five people late Thursday night.

Authorities say the cause of a 17-vehicle crash in Austin, Texas is currently under investigation. An infant and child are among the deceased.

Multiple adults, children and an infant were involved in the collision late Thursday night on I-35 near Parmer Lane, Austin-Travis County EMS said.
