An Alabama man is scheduled to be executed Thursday after dropping his appeals and saying he doesn’t want to keep “wasting everybody’s time” and money.

Alabama death-row inmate James Osgood is facing execution Thursday for the 2010 rape and murder of his girlfriend's cousin.

While Osgood initially denied killing Tracy Wilemon, he eventually confessed to police, telling them he remembered "seeing the fear in her eyes."

Heading into the 2025 draft, Alabama has a number of streaks on the line. The Crimson Tide has had at least one first-round selection in each of the last 16 drafts, starting the run in 2009. Alabama has also had eight straight years with multiple first-round picks, which started in 2017.

Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe could blow up mock drafts everywhere and go in the opening round to a team looking for a young quarterback to eventually step in.
