The No. 5-seeded Los Angeles Lakers dealt Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks, landing Luka Doncic in return. Even with the deadline being well in the past and the All-Star break having come, Doncic being traded remains a key talking point, which proves how groundbreaking the deal was.

That includes Oklahoma City Thunder star Jalen Williams, who faced off against Doncic and the Mavericks in the 2024 Western Conference Semifinals. Williams was as surprised as everyone else, noting that he was woken up out of his slumber when everything broke publicly.
