It’s been an up-and-down season for Filip Chytil. He’s played some of the best hockey of his career this season. However, Chytil can’t seem to escape the injury demons.

The Rangers returned to full strength in their 3-2 overtime loss to the Avalanche on Tuesday night at Ball Arena.

The Rangers had already taken an injury hit hours before their overtime loss to the Stars on Tuesday when Chris Kreider landed on injured reserve, retroactive to Sunday, with an upper-body injury. But their lineup situation worsened when center Filip Chytil exited with an upper-body injury against Dallas and didn’t return.

Filip Chytil is set to return from an upper-body injury for the New York Rangers on Tuesday night against the Colorado Avalanche. This comes after Chytil missed the past two games. Chytil suffered this apparent upper-body injury against the Dallas Stars,
