"Superman" soared into theaters this weekend, snapping up an estimated $122 million in domestic ticket sales and launching a new era of DC superhero flicks.

The third and final cameo of the film sees Milly Alcock crash (literally) onto the screen as Kara Zor-El, also known as Superman's cousin, Supergirl. Yes, that's right, Kent isn't the only surviving Kryptonian in the galaxy.

With the release of "Superman," which stars David Corenswet as Superman and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, the DC comics universe is looking to jumpstart its rivalry with Marvel, which has dominated the box office since 2007.
