HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — One person has died following a house fire Monday on Whitney Street in Hartford, according to the fire chief. Firefighters responded around 12:40 p.m. to the three-story, multi-family home and found fire on the top floor.

Multiple other people, including a firefighter, were injured when crews responded to a home at 45 Fenwick St. on Saturday at 1:48 p.m. and found heavy fire on the rear porches that extended to the third floor, according to the Hartford Fire Department. The fire also extended to a home next door.

A man has died after half of Hartford’s fire department responded to a house fire in the city that displaced 19 people and injured four, including a firefighter.

The American Red Cross is working with the fire department's Special Services Unit to assist the families displaced from their home.
