Boeing head of commercial airplanes Stephanie Pope traveled to India after a fatal 787 crashed in the northwestern city of Ahmedabad Thursday.

Saturday’s flight kicked off the airline’s twice weekly seasonal service, from June to September, between Newark and Nuuk.

The safety alert system, designed by Honeywell, sets off verbal and text warnings if a pilot is about to use the wrong runway or approaches too fast for landing.
