The Trump administration's demand that states turn over personal SNAP recipient data prompted a lawsuit from Democrat, who say it's a front to track down and deport illegal immigrants.

It’s the first time the federal government has asked states for that kind of information as it relates to the program, Attorney General Letitia James said.
