MUNCIE, IN — Republican William Hughes has announced he will seek re-election to Delaware County Council in 2026. Hughes, a Republican, was elected to his District 2 seat in 2022. A longtime local attorney, he had previously served as the council's lawyer.
In the Delaware County Register of Wills race, incumbent Vincent Rongione, a Democrat, faces a challenge from Republican Meaghan Wagner. Rongione, 48, has served since his appointment in January 2024 to replace now Court of Common Pleas Judge Rachel Ezzell Berry, who had been elected to the court position.
