A St. Joseph, Missouri man has died from injuries following a police shooting over the weekend in Atchison. The shooting happened following a hostage situation that began Friday evening at a residence on N.

A 36-year-old man who was shot by police during a hostage incident over the weekend has died from his injuries.

ATCHISON – Bryson McCray, 36, of St. Joseph, Missouri, the subject in the weekend officer-involved shooting in Atchison, died from his injuries in a local hospital early Monday, according to a statement from the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. An autopsy is scheduled.
