Australia’s Jack Doohan has been warned his F1 career is already on “borrowed time” as his team moved to reassure the youngster his seat wasn’t in danger.

Colapinto made a big splash in F1 last year with two points finishes for Williams inside his four races — a formline that saw him become heavily-rumoured as a Red Bull replacement option for Sergio Perez.

One of the 10 Formula 1 teams set to compete in the 2025 season has agreed a sponsorship agreement with MotoGP team Pramac Racing. Alpine – whose F1 outfit boasts Pierre Gasly and Jack Doohan – will be a main sponsor of the Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP team.

There was practically no controversy when Alpine announced in August that Jack Doohan would complete their 2025 line-up. After a difficult start to the year, it seemed logical that Alpine would go for a more low-profile signing and invest in their academy.
