Amy Poehler revealed that Meryl Streep didn’t just wing it during her appearance on SNL50 last month. The Parks and Recreation star and Saturday Night Live alum dished about sharing dressing rooms with the legendary actress for the show on the latest episode of the Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend podcast.

The Parks and Recreation fan-favorite was the voice of the biggest night in film, as he delivered his signature comedic stylings for the audience. But while Offerman’s extremely recognizable vocals kept things serious a majority of the time, he still managed to raise eyebrows with some of his jokes.

O’Brien thanked Offerman for the kind words, and formally introduced him as the Oscars announcer. People praised Offerman for having “the perfect Oscar announcer voice” on Sunday night, declaring that “every award show” should enlist Offerman to be their announcer. The Oscars are airing live on ABC and streaming on Hulu.
