Brentford have rejected Nottingham Forest ’s opening bid for Yoane Wissa. Nottingham Forest have submitted a bid for Brentford forward Yoane Wissa. That is according to a report from The Athletic on Tuesday which details the lodging of an offer of £22m for the 28-year-old. Wissa has 18 months remaining on his contract with the Bees, who value him higher than the £22m that has been received.
The report by David Ornstein on X (formerly Twitter) states that Forest have submitted a bid for Wissa, in the region of £22million as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of a Champions League push. However, their bid is 'significantly' below Brentford's valuation of the 28-year-old, and it will not be accepted.
Brentford's Yoane Wissa is wanted by two Premier League high flyers this month. The likes of Arsenal and Nottingham Forest, both in the top four, are vying for his signature. Per The Telegraph, any potential move may depend on a domino effect of other transfers.
