As measles continues to spread in the United States, it’s likely that the outbreaks that broke records in 2025 will continue into the new year. In South Carolina, 168 people, mostly schoolchildren, are in quarantine.

Nationally, the measles case count is nearing 2,000 for a disease that has been considered eliminated in the U.S. since 2000, a result of routine childhood vaccinations.

South Carolina offensive lineman Trovon Baugh is entering the transfer portal, his representatives told On3’s Pete Nakos on Wednesday. Baugh just wrapped up his junior season with the Gamecocks. In three seasons, Baugh made an appearance in 35 games with South Carolina. Baugh started 11 games for South Carolina in 2025.

Trovon Baugh becomes the third South Carolina offensive lineman to enter the portal and the most recent Gamecock to do so.
