Following Friday’s matchup between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Indiana Pacers, the Quentin Grimes reunion in Dallas, Texas, came into question. As Grimes missed Friday’s action against Indiana, he was considered to be day-to-day by Sixers head coach Nick Nurse.

Quentin Grimes scoring 30 points in a game was news in itself. The Sixers' newcomer had only done so twice in three-plus years as an NBA player when he arrived in Philadelphia, but there he was on Feb.

Early indications point to the acquisition of Grimes as a success. Time will tell about Lonnie Walker IV. Meanwhile, Jared Butler has not appeared to work out as the team had hoped.

When the Philadelphia 76ers submitted their Friday night injury report initially, it didn’t include the veteran sharpshooter Quentin Grimes. As the Sixers prepared for their matchup against the Indiana Pacers on Friday morning,

The Jazz jumped out to a 16-point lead in the first quarter, but the Sixers rallied to take the lead in the second quarter and never looked back. Philadelphia stretched the lead as large as 22 on its way to a 126-122 win to snap the skid and feel good about things again. Quentin Grimes had 25 points and six assists for the Sixers.

Quentin Grimes looks like someone who can be a foundational piece for this organization. The Sixers acquired Grimes along with their own 2025 second-round pick -- currently slated to land in the top 37 picks this June -- from the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for veteran wing Caleb Martin (the Sixers later added a 2030 second-round pick to the deal after Martin's physical hit a snag;

The veteran starter Quentin Grimes has been downgraded to out after initially showing up on the injury report as questionable on Friday morning. According to the official NBA injury report, Grimes is dealing with an illness.
