Add Justin Verlander to the list of starting pitchers now available on the trade market. According to Jon Morosi of MLB Network, "Verlander is on an expiring contract; out of respect to the future Hall of Famer, the Giants are open to working out a deal if it makes sense for Verlander and the organization."

The New York Mets and San Francisco Giants agreed to a four-player swap on Thursday, just more than 24 hours away from Major League Baseball's trade deadline, that centered around veteran reliever Tyler Rogers.

Outfielder Drew Gilbert and pitcher Blade Tidwell were drafted in the 2022 MLB Draft out of Tennessee. The Mets traded both to the Giants on July 30.
