MLB trade deadline action officially kicked off when the Seattle Mariners acquired first baseman Josh Naylor from the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday.

In a wide-open American League, the Mariners will have as good a chance as anyone to make a deep postseason run, and Naylor could be a big part of that. He’s played in three postseasons and is known for hitting clutch home runs.

All-Star first baseman Josh Naylor has arrived and is in the lineup to make his Seattle Mariners debut Friday night against the Los Angeles Angels.

The M's have been linked to several sluggers, including Eugenio Suarez, Ryan O'Hearn and Josh Naylor, Jarren Duran and Luis Robert Jr.
