After Deadline reported a Murder, She Wrote reboot in the works at Universal, Jamie Lee Curtis has officially confirmed she’s on the case. The Oscar winner revealed she “a minute away” from taking over the late Angela Lansbury’s beloved middle-aged mystery writer and amateur sleuth role,

Curtis is currently showing off her comedy chops in the upcoming Freakier Friday, alongside Lindsay Lohan. The Freak Friday sequel, which will be released in theaters August 8, sees Lohan's character Anna as a mother to her own teen daughter ( Julia Butters ), with Curtis returning as Anna's mom Tess.
