Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings take on a WNBA contender for the second straight night on Monday, when they play host to Sabrina Ionescu and the New York Liberty.

Back in 2022, about 1.2 million fans paid to see a WNBA game during the regular season — and by 2024, that number more than doubled. Now, halfway through the 2025 season, the WNBA is on a victory tour. TV ratings are up 23% from last year.

The New York Liberty (17-7) heads down south to take on the youthful Dallas Wings (7-19) in this Monday night WNBA matchup.

Clearly, the Liberty are the better team this season. Being able to pull off such an upset is great for the mood in Dallas and gives a preview of what could come in the future. With Bueckers and Ogunbowale leading the way, the Wings seem to be heading in the right direction.

Bueckers is now averaging 18.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists during her rookie campaign. She is shooting 45.0% from the floor and 32.9% from the three-point line. She also recorded a double-double in late May against the Minnesota Lynx.
