"The Accountant 2" falls short of original cult hit, but Ben Affleck adds layers to his neurodivergent hero while Jon Bernthal makes sibling magic.

Jon Bernthal joins the series as the sibling to its gun-toting, number-crunching protagonist in a movie that proves looser and more comic than its predecessor.

If nothing else, Gavin O'Connor's sequel deserves credit for figuring out that an autistic Ben Affleck is simply not enough to carry an action movie on his own.
