Two men have been arrested after throwing incendiary devices at the wall of the Russian consulate in Marseille on Monday. The pair were taken into police custody on charges of damage to property by means of incendiary or explosive devices,

Three improvised explosive devices were thrown at the Russian consulate in the southern French port city of Marseille on Monday, but no one was injured, a police source said.

The Russian Consulate in Marseille was in lockdown on Monday morning following explosions inside. Emergency workers were inside while special forces police and soldiers secured the perimeter of the building in the southern French city.
