Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has begun rehab following surgery to repair two torn ligaments in his left knee, and the team is optimistic the two-time MVP could be back early next season — perhaps even by the time Kansas City plays Week 1.

This will be the second start for Philip Rivers for the Colts after he almost won at Seattle last week. The 49ers are 10-4 and pushing for a playoff spot. They blew out Tennessee last week, but the defense wasn't great. It won't matter as the 49ers will limit Rivers and Brock Purdy will play well. The 49ers keep on winning.

While the Seahawks survived a potential upset in Week 15, they have a huge game against the Rams on Thursday that could end up determining the NFC West champion. Detroit's loss in Los Angeles gave the 49ers and Packers breathing room as those teams move closer toward clinching a postseason berth.

The NFL is all about parity, and Week 16 will offer some high-powered matchups that'll continue to create separation in several key divisions around the league. Last week, the Denver Broncos (12-2) and Los Angeles Rams (11-3) became the first two teams to clinch a playoff spot this season.
