A man was shot and his dog was killed by officers during a call for a reported animal bite in Baltimore on Sunday, according to police.

Saturday morning at the Westmaren Condominiums in Ashburn, Virginia was interrupted by a gunshot. The victim, Billy Gamarra-Olarte, 34, was shot once there and died at the hospital, police said. A man who asked News4 not to identify him tells us he is Gamarra-Olarte’s close friend.
