During the opening day of the Build 2017, Microsoft has announced two new additions to its Azure SQL service with MySQL and PostgreSQL, and has also launched a new NoSQL database called Cosmos DB.

Cosmos DB includes support for multiple data models, including document, graph, key-value, table and column-family, and has APIs for SQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Gremlin and Table.
