One company in Colorado is helping first responders with fire mapping in California. Maxar Intelligence is a space technology company in Westminster that specializes in satellite imagery, among other areas.

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis said nine strike teams of almost 50 fire engines and overhead personnel were sent to Los Angeles to help fire the devastating wildfires.

As California crews work to get these blazes under control, the state’s emergency management agencies have requested aid from several other states, including Colorado. According to the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control,
