Malibu Council Designates Entire City as Very High Fire Hazard Zone
MALIBU - The Malibu City Council unanimously adopted an ordinance Monday night officially designating the entire city as a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone, making it one of only a handful of California municipalities where every square inch carries the state's highest fire risk classification.
Scissors Fire initially started 3:54 p.m. Nov. 2 in San Diego County, California. After being active for three days, it has burned 68 acres. As of Wednesday afternoon, the fire has been fully contained. The blaze's cause remains under investigation.
During the primary elections in June, the two candidates running for governor who receive the most votes, regardless of party, will advance to the general election. By early May, California voters will receive their vote-by-mail ballots to cast their vote in the primary election.
