The race’s official title is the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, which includes the Bahrain GP’s regular sponsor (Gulf Air is the country’s national carrier). The Malaysian GP was traditionally sponsored by Petronas, the Malaysian state oil company, which also owns the naming rights to the Sepang track.
