PIAA 6A boys basketball: Imhotep gets defensive, ends Parkland’s season
Imhotep Charter from Philadelphia has won six consecutive PIAA boys basketball titles, but the Panthers don’t necessarily blow teams off the court with offensive fireworks or slam-dunk displays. On Saturday night at Reading’s Geigle Complex, the Panthers won their 35th consecutive state tournament game by playing great defense.

An ice-cold second half doomed the Parkland High School boys basketball team on Saturday night. The Trojans mustered 11 points after intermission and fell to District 12 champion Imhotep Charter 48-30 in the PIAA Class 6A quarterfinals at Reading’s Geigle Complex.
