Nvidia’s stock has had a dream run, gaining more than 2,000% over the past five years and close to 180% in 2024. With a market capitalization of $3.37 trillion, it lags just behind Apple (AAPL) as one of the largest companies in the world.

After plunging 17% on Monday, Nvidia climbed almost 9% as investors rushed in to buy this historic dip in shares of the top chip maker.

Nvidia climbed 8.8%, with the rally gaining steam throughout the day and closing near session highs. The stock at one point shortly after the open was in the red. That bounce comes after stock plunged 17% on Monday and slashed more than $595 billion from the company's valuation,
