Americans planned demonstrations against President Donald Trump across the U.S. on Saturday as a counterpoint to the 200,000 people expected to attend the military parade in Washington.

The demonstrations follow more than a week of large-scale protests in Los Angeles against Mr. Trump’s immigration crackdown and his decision to deploy the military there. Protesters gathered in Liberty Plaza outside of the Georgia State Capitol in Downtown Atlanta.

A day after thousands rallied across the city, Adams urged state lawmakers to reinstate pre-pandemic restrictions on wearing masks at demonstrations.
