A Harris County Sheriff's Office deputy fatally shot a man early Thursday after he began fighting with officers at a gas station, officials said.  Deputies responded around 3 a.m. to reports of a man "acting erratically" and damaging a gas pump near the 10300 block of North Freeway,

The man was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said. One of the deputies was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
