Multiple popular online services were hit by outages on Thursday afternoon, including Spotify, Discord, Google and Amazon Web Services, according to Downdetector, a website that tracks service disruptions across the web.
Some notable web services that experienced disruptions included: Spotify, Discord, Google and its related services, Cloudflare, Snapchat, YouTube, OpenAI, Character AI, Fubo, Etsy, Vimeo, UPS, Shopify, Microsoft Azure, Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Google Gemini, DoorDash, Calendly, Paramount+, IKEA, Twitch, and Microsoft 365.
Any major problems with providers like this will result in lots of your favorite online sites and apps going down. Down Detector on Thursday saw user-reported issues at Twitch, Gmail, Discord, Nintendo Switch Online, Spotify, and dozens more platforms. Google Cloud services were down and are affecting other sites, according to Replit and Cloudflare.
A widespread outage Thursday afternoon affected multiple online services, including Google, Spotify, Discord, and more. Reports of service disruptions have flooded outage tracker DownDetector, with users experiencing login failures, loading issues, and app crashes.
Countless sites and services — stalwarts like Twitch, Gmail, Discord, Nintendo, and more — went down on Thursday afternoon, eastern time. The internet, even as large swaths of it went down, was quick to react on social media. And, in short, people were freaking out.
