The bank on Thursday said it would pull back from its DEI plans — saying it would end representational workforce goals, change the name of its DEI team and end some diversity-related standards in its hiring process.

The lender is scrapping “aspirational representation goals” and diverse job candidate requirements, as more companies abandon diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.

In a politically charged business climate, the global banking giant joins peers in ending many diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, from hiring to corporate governance.
